Party Pecans

| 3 cup | sugar |
| 1/3 cup | orange juice |
| 1 tsp | grated orange rind |
| 1 lb. | pecans, shelled |
| |
| mix the first 3 ingredients and cook to soft ball stage, 240 degrees. |
| remove and add rind. stir in pecans, mixing until syrup becomes cloudy. |
| pour nuts onto waxed paper and separate them as they cool. |

| 3 Tbsp | worcestershire sauce |
| 3 or 4 | dashes cayenne pepper |

| add the salt and butter to the pecans and set them in a 325 degree oven |
| until each nutmeat is coated. add the worcestershire sauce and pepper , |
| stir thoroughly and often while roasting. keep the temperature low and |
| roast at least an hour. |

| 1/2 tsp | nutmeg |
| 1/2 tsp | cloves |
| 2 tsp | cinnamon |
| 1/4 cup | water |
| 1/2 lb. | pecans |

| mix 1 cup sugar, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp each nutmeg, and cloves, 2 tsp |
| cinnamon, and 1/4 cup water. cook until syrup forms a soft ball when |
| tested in cold water. add 1/2 lb pecans. remove from heat and stir |
| until sugary. spread on oiled paper or buttered platter. break apart |
| when cool. |
