Peanut Butter CrissCrosses

| 1/2 cup | shortening |
| 1/2 cup | margarine |
| 1 cup | granulated sugar |
| 1 cup | brown sugar( packed) |
| 2 | eggs |
| 1 tsp | vanilla |
| 1-1/2 cup | peanut butter |
| 3 cup | flour(all-purpose) |
| 2 tsp | soda |
| 1/2 tsp | salt |
| | heat oven to 350 degrees |

| thoroughly cream shortening, margarine, sugars,eggs,and vanilla. stir in |
| peanut butter. sift dry ingredients together. stir into creamed mixture. |
| drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. press with the back of |
| floured fork to make crisscross, on top of each mound. |
| bake 10 minutes. |
| makes 5 dozen. |
| *for richer cookies, use 2 cups flour. |
