Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

| betty crocker cake mix box |

| 2 | eggs |
| 1/3 cup | water |
| 1/4 cup | butter or margarine, softened |
| 1 cup | peanut butter |
| 1 package | betty crocker cake mix |
| 1 | 12 oz.) pkg. semisweet chocolate pieces |
| |
| heat oven to 375 degrees. beat eggs, water, butter, peanut butter, and |
| half of the dry cake mix until smooth. stir in remaining cake mix and |
| the chocolate pieces. drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart |
| onto ungreased baking sheet. bake 10-12 minutes. makes about 6 dozen |
| cookies. |

| cook's note: use your choice of yellow, devils food or white cake mix. |
| variation: to make peanut butter chocolate chip bars, spread dough in |
| greased and floured 15 1/2-by-10 1/2-by-1-inch jelly roll pan. bake |
| about 20 minutes. cool; cut into bars. makes 30 bars. |
