chocolate macadamia peanut butter chip cookies

| 1 tsp | salt |
| 1 tsp | baking soda |
| 1 cup | softened butter |
| 3/4 cup | sugar |
| 2/3 cup | brown sugar |
| 1 tsp | vanilla extract |
| 3 | eggs |
| 9 oz. | bittersweet chocolate -- cut into chunks |
| 6 oz. | peanut butter cup candy |
| 1 cup | unsalted -- coarsely chopped |
| | macadamia nuts |

| heat oven to 350 degrees f. |
| whisk dry ingredients together. |
| beat butter until creamy. gradually add sugars and beat until light and |
| fluffy. add vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each |
| addition. |
| add dry ingredients in 3 additions, mixing just until blended. |
| add remaining ingredients and mix just until blended. |
| drop by scant 1/4 cupfuls 3 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. |
| bake for 11-13 minutes until light brown on edges. transfer to racks and |
| cool. |
