| 3 cup | all-purpose flour |
| 1-1/8 tsp | baking soda |
| 1-1/8 tsp | salt |
| 1-1/8 cup | softened butter |
| 1 cup | granulated sugar |
| 3/4 cup | brown sugar |
| 3 large | eggs |
| 1-1/2 tsp | pure vanilla extract |
| 12 to 18 oz. | mini m&m candies |
| 1 cup | chopped pecans (opt) |

| cream together butter, sugar, brown sugar until fluffy. add eggs one at a |
| time. add vanilla extract. |
| blend dry ingredients together and then add to creamy mixture. add m&m and |
| nuts if desired. bake at 325 degrees f. 12-14 minutes |
