Meatless Taco Dip

| 16 oz. | sour cream * |
| 8 oz. | cream cheese * |
| 2 cup | shredded monterey jack cheese * |
| 1-1/2 cup | shredded iceberg lettuce |
| 1/2 cup | diced tomatoes |
| 1/2 cup | and 3 tbsp taco sauce separated |
| | jalapeno pepper slices (optional) |

| * low fat versions can be substitued |

| |
| blend sour cream and cream cheese in blender or food processor until |
| smooth but not runny. pour into 8" x 8" pan. drizzle 1/2 cup of taco |
| sauce over the cream cheese. layer with lettuce, tomatoes and then |
| cheese. drizzle reamining 3 tbsp of sauce over cheese. garnish with |
| jalapeno pepper slices if desired. refrigerate until served. serve |
| with tortilla chips. |
