roch's garlic scalloped potatoes

| 2 clove | garlic |
| 2 Tbsp | butter |
| 4 cup | thinly sliced potatoes |
| 1 cup | grated cheddar cheese |
| 1-1/2 cup | hot milk |
| 1 tsp | salt |
| 1/8 tsp | black pepper |
| |
| thoroughly grease a 2 quart casserole using 1 tbsp of butter. place |
| halved garlic cloves in bottom of casserole. spread half of the potatoes |
| in the dish. cover with half of cheese. add remaining potatoes; top with |
| remaining cheese. mix hot milk, salt and pepper; pour over potatoes. dot |
| with remaining butter. bake in preheated oven at 375f for 60 minutes or |
| until tender. |
| reduce heat; add more milk if potatoes seem dry before they are tender. |
