Broccoli with Rice

| 3 Tbsp | soy sauce |
| 1-1/2 tsp | cornstarch |
| pinch | of sugar |
| 1-1/2 cup | water |
| 1 Tbsp | sesame oil |
| 1 clove | garlic, split |
| bunch | of broccoli, cut into florets |
| large | carrot, julienned |
| 1 Tbsp | oyster sauce |
| | almonds or walnuts (optional) |
| | cooked rice |
| | chow mein noodles |
| |
| Blend soy, cornstarch, sugar. Add water and set aside. |
| Heat wok or skillet and add sesame oil. Add garlic and saute 30 |
| seconds. Add broccoli and carrots, and stir to coat. Add a few drops |
| water and cover. Cook 4-5 minutes, checking to see if more water is |
| needed. Remove garlic pieces when broccoli and carrots are tender. |
| Add soy mixture and stir. Stir in oyster sauce and optional nuts. |
| Serve over rice with crispy chow mein noodles. |
