Ham-And-Cheese Layered Casserole

| 12 slice | Italian bread (3/4-inch-thick) |
| 1 cup | Chopped cooked ham |
| 2 cup | Shredded mozzarella cheese (8 ounces), divided |
| 3 large | Eggs |
| 2 cup | Milk |
| 1/2 tsp | Garlic powder |
| 1/4 tsp | Onion powder |
| 1/4 tsp | Ground pepper |

| Places 6 of the bread slices in a lightly greased 11- x 7-inch baking dish. |
| Sprinkle the ham and 1 cup of the cheese over the bread. Top with the |
| remaining 6 bread slices. |
| Stir together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder and pepper. Pour |
| the mixture over the bread. |
| Bake at 350F for 40 minutes, then sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of |
| cheese. Bake for an additional 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and let stand |
| for 5 minutes before serving. |
| Makes 6 servings. |
