Breakfast Porridge
 
3 cup  water
1-1/2 tsp  salt
2 cup  old fashioned oatmeal
2   eggs
1 cup  milk
1/4 cup  dark molasses
3 Tbsp  maple syrup
1/4 cup  brown sugar
1/2 tsp  cinnamon
3/4 tsp  nutmeg
1/2 Tbsp  ground ginger
1/4 lb.  golden raisins
1/4 cup  chopped walnuts
  lightly sweetened whipped cream or vanilla yogurt for accompaniment
 
Heat water and salt until boiling. Add oatmeal and cook for 5 minutes. 
Cool. Combine next 10 ingredients and add to oatmeal. Pour into a greased 
9-inch square baking pan and bake, uncovered, in preheated 350F (175C) 
oven for 2 hours. Serve hot topped with a dollop of whipped cream or 
vanilla yogurt. 
 
Makes 6 servings.
